Itikaf 🙏😍. The Prophet ﷺ used to observe retirement (i’tikaf) to the mosque during the last ten days of Ramadan till Allah took him, and then his wives observed retirement to the mosque after his death. (And to my sisters in Islam there’s a Itikaf also for women at Masjid Center, Marawi City) every last 10days of Ramadhan. in sha Allah so makaniniat ruktano magamal, we’re welcome there, if you’re not allowed for overnight stay.. Still you can stay there during day time even just for at least 2hours minimum doing Dhikr, reading Qur’an & praying Salatul Doha (morning before Dhuhr). In sha Allah! For the sake of our Creator ALLAH (SWT). mamakot tano mamagamal mga pagariko.

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh . (May Allah’s Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

Just yesterday Ramadhan has started and now the last 10 nights of Ramadhan will start tomorrow. May I ask my brothers & sisters in Islam, how’s your Ramadhan spent in the last 15 days? I pray that everyone is still doing their bests to seek ALLAH (swt) pleasure & forgiveness. I’m sad that Ramadan will bid goodbye soon and I’m Happy as well because the Laylatul Qadr is coming near (the last 10days will starts In sha Allah this Friday) Subhan Allah!
Yesterday, Alhamdulillah! my soul is awaken & fed again after hearing Islamic sayings from Aleema Nora (May Allah bless her more), she tackled the importance of guarding our tongues (our speech may lead us to Jannah/hell & it has big impact on our Amal), how we should do tawbah/repent & the best ways to spent the last 10 days of Ramadhan (is to maximize our faith by reading Qur’an, praying Tahajud/tarawe & Dhikr).

While I’m heading way to home, I’ve realized and evaluated myself (how’s my relationship to our Creator) I think most of us, we ask regularly the forgiveness of our lord but only few of us who repent sincerely (in a way that, if we repent our bad deeds/ sins, we should repel it with good deeds and we must swear to ALLAH that we will never ever do it again (“Sa Mranao na, dita dun pumbabalinganan so mga rarata a galbek tah” and not only by words but to walk/do our talk). We must evaluate ourselves, think of the deeds we have done this previous years, if we have done things that pleased ALLAH (swt) or we mostly did things for the sake of our worldly life and for the sake of other people (most of the time we forget that we should only please ALLAH & not His creations) we should remind ourselves constantly the hereafter & only ALLAH (swt) knows when we’ll leave this dunya. Allahu Akbar! And as far as I’ve evaluated myself I can say that, I maybe one of those who have weak iman/faith.. Astagh’firullah! 😞😭 I share this as an act of sharing knowledge/ charity that I’ve heard from yesterday’s Islamic gathering. fill’ah! Not to show/boast it. Only ALLAH know.

Everyday we feed our stomach and we seldom/ we never think of feeding our soul. Let’s always ask for the “Tawfik” of ALLAH and May He grant us Taqwa. So we can never forget our mission, that is to do good things (with good intention) for the sake of ALLAH. Since The Laylatul Qadr and the Last 10 nights of Ramadhan is fast approaching. The best way to observe Laylatul Qadr is to maximize our remembrance of our creator Allah (swt).

The following are some facts that I’ve researched on the Islamic online sites,
This May help us to understand the real meaning of LAYLATUL QADR & how we will spend/observe it in accordance of Islam and ways of our Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be upon Him).

Allah (the Almighty) says in the Qur’an: The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. Peace it is until the emergence of dawn. [Qur’an: Al Qadr 97:3-5]

The blessed Laylatul Qadr can be found in any of the last 10 nights of Ramadan, which are the most blessed nights of the year. As such, we should increase our worship and devotion during this period.

Aisha (R.A.) reported: With the start of the last ten days of Ramadan, the Prophet used to tighten his waist belt (i.e. work harder) and used to pray the whole night, and used to keep his family (including the children) awake for the prayers. [Bukhari]

Abu Hurayrah relates that the Prophet said: “Whoever stands (in the voluntary night prayer of) Ramadan out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven. And whoever spends the night of Lailat Al-Qadr in prayer out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.” [Sunan an-Nasa’i]

Subhan Allah! Such immense rewards are to be gained during these blessed 10 nights. How can we afford to miss out on them? Who is to say that we will live to see the next Ramadan? We MUST make the best of these 10 nights. If we cannot manage all of the 10 nights, then as many as we can manage, particularly on the odd-numbered nights: 21st, 25th, 27th and 29th.

We should increase our remembrance of Allah during the last 10 days of Ramadan, keeping our lips moist in his glorification & praises.
10 Points to consider: (as shown on the picture)
1. Remain in Itikaf
2. Worship all the 10 nights
3. Best dua of the last 10nights : “Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa’fu ‘annee”
4. Give Charity
5. Eat Light
6. Hydrate well
7. Complete all tasks beforehand
8. Show exemplary character
9. No time wasting
10. Making Life Changes

Surely we will have utter regret in the hereafter for each second wasted without remembering Allah ( Dhikr ):

Mu`adh Ibn Jabal (RA) said that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “The People of Paradise will not regret anything except one thing alone: the hour that passed them by in which they made no remembrance of Allah.” Narrated Bayhaqi in Shu`ab al-iman (1:392 #512-513)

The highest rank in Jannah are for those who remembered Allah the most:

Abu Sa`id (RA) narrates the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) was asked, ”Which of the servants of Allah is best in rank before Allah on the Day of resurrection?” He said: ”The ones who remember him much.”I said: ”O Messenger of Allah, what about the fighter in the way of Allah?” He answered: ”Even if he strikes the unbelievers & mushrikin with his sword until it broke, & becomes red with their blood, truly those who do Dhikr are better than him in rank.” (Ahmad, Tirmidhi, & Bayhaqi)

What better time to start remembering Allah more than during the blessed last 10 days of Ramadan.

The following are 11 Dhikr, supported by Hadith that we can recite throughout last 10 nights:

Note: We should try & aim to recite each of these 10 Dhikr a 100 times each which makes a total of 1000 a day minimum.

1. Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa’fu ‘annee - Recite this abundantly during the last ten nights of Ramadan. 100x

2. Subhaanallah 100x

3. Alhamdulillah 100x

4. Allahu Akbar 100x

5. Laa ilaaha illallah 100x

6. LA HAWLA WA LA QUWWATA ILLA BILLAH-HIL ALIYYIL ADHEEM 100x

7. Asthaghfirullah-halladhee Laa ilaaha illa-huwal Hayyul Qayyuumu Wa athoobu Ilay

Or short version: Asthaghfirullah 100x

8. SUB-HAAN’ALLAAHi WA BI-HAM’DIHI SUB-HAAN’ALLAH-IL ADHEEM 100x

Or short version: SUB-HAAN’ALLAAHi WA BI-HAM’DIHI 100x

9. Subhāna-llāhi, wa-l-hamdu li-llāhi, wa lā ilāha illā-llāhu, wa-llāhu akbar. Wa lā hawla wa lā quwwata illā bi-llāhi-l-aliyyi-l-azīm 100x

10. Lā ilāha illā-llāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu lahu-l-mulku wa lahu-l-ḥamdu yuhyi wa yumītu wa huwa ḥayyu-llā yamūtu abadan abada, ḏū-l-jalāli wa-l-ikrām, biyadihi-l-khayr, wa huwa alā kulli Shay-in qadīr

Or the shortened version:

Laa ilaaha illal-laahu wahdahu laa shareeka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa huwa ‘alaa kulli shay-in qadeer (100x)

11. Radeetu billahi Rabban Wa bil Islami deenan Wabi Muhammadin Nabiyyan 100x

We should also recite much of durood e Ibrahim which is the durood that is recited towards the end of Salaah.

Or the shortest durood is: Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallim

➡️➡️➡️➡️Making Excessive Dua
Tip: make list of your own dua so that you will including everything you wish for.

Almighty Allah says in the Qur’an:

“When my servants ask you concerning me, (tell them) I am indeed close (to them). I listen to the prayer of every suppliant when he calls on me.” [2:186]

When you make dua remember that there certain etiquettes you have to follow. 1) Praise Allah first, 2) then send salutations upon the Prophet, 3) make dua for yourself, 4) make dua for your parents, husband/wife, children & family etc, 4) then, pray for the entire Muslim Ummah

The times when Dua’s are most accepted during the last 10 days are:

1. The third portion of the night shortly before sehri ends.

2. Whilst fasting.

3. Between Asr & Maghrib.

4. Just before fast opens.

5. On Jumma before & after khutba.

6. Between Adhan & Iqamah.

7. After Qur’an recitation.

8. The Night of Qadr

9. Whilst it is raining.

Let us not be of those who pass by Ramadan without gaining any forgiveness:

Rasullullah (sallahu’ ‘alaihi wasallam) said: …the angel Jibra’il appeared before me & said: Destruction to him who found the blessed month of Ramadan & let it pass by without gaining forgiveness…’ Upon that I said: ‘Amin.’ (Al-Bukhari, Al-Tabrani)

What better opportunity to make long & sincere dua’s to Allah than in the last 10 days & nights of Ramadan. If we make dua every night then we may be lucky enough to have made dua in the night of power where all dua’s are accepted.
Pray the salahs with khushu and try to cry, if tears are not coming out try and make them come out.

➡️➡️➡️ Repentance of past & present sins

We should cry & beg of Allah to give us his mercy & forgiveness especially in the last 10 blessed nights of Ramadan. If we leave Ramadan without gaining the mercy of Allah then surely we are of the most unfortunate and amongst the biggest losers in this world and the next.

Best dua for gaining mercy & forgiveness in the last 10 days & nights:

Aisha (Ra) said: “I asked the Messenger of Allah: ‘O Messenger of Allah, if I know what night is the night of Qadr, what should I say during it?’ He said: ”Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa’fu ‘annee” (Ahmad, Ibn Majah, & Tirmidhi).

Stand in prayer to gain forgiveness for all sins

Abu Huraira (RA) narrated that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “Whoever stands (in prayer) in Laylatul Qadr while nourishing his faith with self-evaluation, expecting reward from Allah, will have all of his previous sins forgiven.” (Bukhari and Muslim).

Best opportunity for forgiveness of past & present sins:

This is our best opportunity to gain forgiveness of our past ans present sins. Forget the past now, lear from it & take lessons from it. What matters is NOW. So ask of Allah everynight epecially in the odd numbered nights for mercy & forgiveness.

When we make Dua we should imagine Allah is watching us and so we should call on him like a begger, crying to him. If we can’t cry due to the hardness of our hearts then we should at least act & make the face like we are crying. We should ask of Allah sincerely with remorse & intention not to repeat such sins again for forgiveness of our past & present sins.

➡️➡️➡️ Seeking out Laylatul Qadr (Night of Power)

{By the manifest Book (the Quran) that makes thing clear. We sent it (this Quraan) down on a Blessed Night (i.e. the Night of Qadr) in the month of Ramadaan..(The Smoke 44:2-5)

So valuable is the Night of Qadr (Power) that the Quran devotes a special surah to it: “Lailatul Qadr is better than a thousand months” [97:3]

This one night surpasses the value of 30,000 nights. The most authentic account of the occurrence of the Night indicates that it can occur on any one of the last ten, odd numbered nights of Ramadan, 21, 23, 25, 27, 29. It may also occur on any of the even nights.

Therefore we should strive to stay up & worship on all of the last 10 nights of Ramadan. If we can’t do that then we should at least worship on the odd numbered nights of the last ten days. If we still can’t manage that then let us pray on whatever nights we can, minimum on the 27th night.

➡️➡️➡️If you haven’t payed your Zakat money pay it this night as the rewards will be magnified. If you have then prepare some sadaqa to give in the way of Allah. Remember charity burns our sins as fire burns wood.

Note: If a sister on her menses during the last ten nights, is she allowed to do prayer on these nights?
The answer is No. She can do anything, She can give charity. She can do all good actions of worship except for praying and fasting.
Because she cannot do the prayers on these nights due to the menses, doesn’t that mean she misses out on the rewards of praying the night of Qadr.
she does the acts of worship permitted for her. She may recite Qur’an from memory.
Do acts of worship that are permitted.
Give charity.
Give good word.
Anticipating the reward from Allah. Making du’a. Making remembrances. Alhamdulillah.

The purpose of this post is for guidance only. May ALLAH give you multiple rewards after reading this and May ALLAH Forgive us all and May ALLAH grant our prayers, fasts and good deeds this Ramadhan . ALLAHUMA Ameen

only ALLAH (the Almighty) knows the bests and Only Allah knows everything.
